Cruise Festival “World of Youth” – Unique festivals, which give an opportunity to show creative achievements to the public of the whole world, in the most prestigious theaters of luxury MSC liners. To perform in front of a 2,000-member public on the same stage with stars such as Cirque du soleil (Cirque du Soleil). To appear before a 2,000-person audience in 7 languages, with the most professional light and sound, and to get an assessment of a professional casting jury – goal for the ambitions of creative teams. Terms of the festival are unrivaled:

  • Visit 3-5 countries – the most beautiful corners of the planet without tiring travel and at the same time throughout the festival use the service and luxury 5 * liner.
  • Meals on board NON-STOP, with an enhanced buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For dinner, the participants of the festival have their seats in a chic restaurant with 5 * service and a choice of 4-course menu for each course: cold and hot appetizers, main course and dessert.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE FESTIVAL:

  • A wide display of achievements and the level of performance mastery of creative groups to the viewer from all over the World.
  • Strengthening of mutual understanding and friendly ties between collectives of different countries is a form of cultural dialogue.
  • Preservation and continuity of cultural traditions of peoples of different countries of the world.
  • Formation of the Youth Movement on the basis of children’s and youth art, high aesthetic taste on examples of the best examples of artistic creativity.
  • Increase the artistic level of the repertoire of groups and performing skills of participants, using the opportunity to speak at professional stages.
  • Development of interethnic, interregional and international relations in the field of children’s and youth creativity, a form of cultural dialogue.
  • Expansion of the outlook and intellectual level of children and youth of different countries.
  • Creating an atmosphere of an unforgettable creative holiday.
  • To acquaint the creative teams with the history and culture of the Mediterranean cities.

ORGANIZATION:

During the festival will be held:

  • Entertaining shows, discos as part of the liner program;
  • Cognitive walks in historical places according to the route.
  • Business card collectives – evening of acquaintances.
  • 1 round-competition on video materials of performances of contestants!
  • 2 round – selection round of the contestants on the liner!
  • Solemn ceremony of rewarding of participants and Gala-concert in theater MSC FANTASIA

Maybe participation in the festival is out of competition. The festival can be attended by bands aged 5 to 28 and mixed groups. An indispensable condition for participating in the festival is the provision of video materials by participants to the committee (professional and amateur video is allowed). The Organizing Committee accepts the participants’ video materials by providing direct links to video posted on the Internet and video recording (VHS format) or DVD performances. Links to video are indicated in the application. The competition is attended by both collectives and individual performers, students of music and theater universities, students of secondary special educational institutions of art and culture, as well as participants of amateur performances in the following categories: vocal, choral singing, instrumental music, vocal and instrumental ensembles , choreography, fashion theater, original and theatrical genre, artists. A mixed age group is allowed to participate in festivals. The age group of ensembles is determined by the average age of the participants (the total age of the collective is divided by the number of participants).

COMPETITIVE NOMINATIONS AND AGE CATEGORIES:

1. VOCAL

(variety, academic, folk, song theater)

  • Solo
  • Ensemble (divided into a duet, trio, quartet, etc.)
  • Debut 5-8 years
  • 1 age category: 8 -10 years old
  • 2 age category: 10-12 years
  • 3 age category: 13-15 years
  • 4 age category: 16-19 years
  • 5 age category: 20-28 years

Criteria for evaluation:

  • musicality, artistic interpretation of a piece of music
  • The purity of intonation and sound quality
  • The beauty of the timbre and the power of voice
  • stage culture
  • complexity of the repertoire
  • correspondence of the repertoire to performing abilities and the age category of the performer
  • performing skills

Participants perform 2 different works, the timing of which should not exceed 3 minutes.

* When evaluating competitive performances, light support (various special lighting effects) is not taken into account;

  • For vocal collectives, the use of their radio microphones or head sets is allowed, unless technical characteristics of the equipment interfere with this;
  • It is forbidden to perform vocalists under the phonogram “plus”;
  • It is forbidden to use phonograms, where in back-vocal parts the main batch of the soloist is duplicated;

2. INSTRUMENTAL

  • the complexity of the repertoire and arrangement
  • purity of intonation and musical structure
  • technical capabilities of ensemble performance
  • musicality, artistry, artistic interpretation of a musical work
  • creative individuality (for soloists)

Participants perform 2 works, the timing of which should not exceed 5 minutes. ATTENTION! Exceeding the time set, perhaps only in consultation with the organizing committee.

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS AND PROCESSORS OF SOUND EFFECTS TO THEM, COMBUSTIBLE, SHOCK INSTALLATION BY ORGANIZERS OF THE COMPETITION IS NOT PROVIDED.

3. CHOREOGRAPHY

Genres:

  • Folk dance – ethnic, folk, characteristic. Dances of different nationalities, with the endurance of style, technique and music;
  • Stylized dance – the performance of folk dances in modern treatments;
  • Sports-variety dance – a combination of choreography, acrobatics, gymnastics;
  • Ballroom – sports dance (formation)
  • Variety dance – traditional variety characteristic dances, disco, classical jazz, mixed style;
  • Modern dance – Contemporary, jazz-modern, modern, neo-folk, Afro-jazz, Afro, with endurance of style and technique;
  • Classical dance;
  • Dance show – in this nomination it is possible to use any lighting effects, vocal, circus tricks, etc. The costume acts as an additional effect in the show;
  • Street dances – Locking, Popping, Hip-Hop, House, Break-Dance, Crump, Whacking, Vogue, Street Jazz, Dancehall, C-Walk, Electro;

Age groups:

  • Ensemble (divided into a duet, trio, quartet, etc.)
  • Debut 5-8 years
  • 1 age category: 8 -10 years old
  • 2 age category: 10-12 years
  • 3 age category: 13-15 years

4. THEATER MOD (pret-a-porter, evening wear, children's clothing, stage costume, historical costume)

Collectives represent a competitive program (two collections) in the form of a show, consisting of one or several themes. The age groups are not divided

Criteria for evaluation:

  • costume design
  • integrity of composition, unity of design, originality of director’s decision
  • consistency in style (costume, hairstyle, choreography, musical accompaniment)
  • originality of the author’s decision, integrity of the collection
  • unity of design, silhouette forms and color solution
  • musical design
  • artistic performance
  • quality and craftsmanship
  • complexity of the artistic solution
  • Each participant of the festival is obliged to have an international medical insurance covering choreography and sports.

Participants present 2 collections, the duration of one collection should not exceed 3 minutes. ATTENTION! Exceeding the time set, perhaps only in consultation with the organizing committee.

5. ORIGINAL GENRE (plastic sketch, acrobatics, juggling, clowning)

The circus team is invited to present a circus composition.

  • Solo
  • Ensemble (divided into a duet, trio, quartet, etc.)
  • 1 age category: 8-9 years
  • 2 age category: 10-12 years
  • 3 age category: 13-15 years
  • 4 age category: 16-25 years
  • 5 age category: Professional (age is not limited!)
  • Mixed Group

Criteria for evaluation:

  • level of training and performance skills
  • technical capabilities of the team
  • artistry
  • scenic (plastic, costume, performance culture)
  • complexity of the executable program
  • decoration of the program

Every participant of the festival is obliged to have an international medical insurance covering choreography and sports! Participants perform 2 circus numbers, the timekeeping of which should not exceed 4 minutes. ATTENTION! Exceeding the time set, perhaps only in consultation with the organizing

AWARENESS OF PARTICIPANTS:

  • The results of the competition and awards are held in all categories separately, taking into account the age categories and provide for the award of the Grand Prix winner, the winners of three prize places (Gold, Silver, Bronze), diploma holders (Gold, Silver, Bronze), participant diploma;
  • If there is a situation where there are no contenders for the Grand Prix and prizes, they are not awarded.
  • At the discretion of the organizing committee, participants are awarded special prizes and awards, memorable gifts.
  • Information on the results of the speech is announced ONLY ON THE GALA CONCERT
  • The ceremony of awarding diplomas and prizes is held only at the Gala concert.
  • The program of the Gala-concert is determined by the director-production group.
  • The Organizing Committee has the right, at its discretion, to mark accompanists and team leaders with special diplomas, prizes and gifts.
  • All protocols are sent to the Organizing Committee of the competition – the festival.
  • Heads of collectives can get acquainted with the final protocol in the Organizing Committee upon a written request to e-mail artmarket@praha-cz.net
  • ATTENTION! The evaluation sheets and comments of the jury members are confidential information, are not shown and are not issued!
  • The decisions of the jury are final, they can not be reviewed and appealed!
  • The Organizing Committee accepts claims on the organization of the contest-festival ONLY IN WRITING WAY!

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Preparation and holding of the competition is carried out by the Organizing Committee
  • The Organizing Committee approves the jury for each nomination before 10.05.2019
  • The organizers of the competition are not responsible for the use of works by contestants during performances in the competition-festival. All property claims, including authors and holders of related rights, can be addressed only to the bidder.
  • Replacement of the repertoire during the festival is prohibited!
  • The declared program of participants’ performance can not be changed after the confirmation of the application by the organizer of the festival
  • Collectives act in accordance with a pre-compiled program, which is announced upon arrival at the festival at registration
  • The approved order of the participants’ numbers is made taking into account the time for preparation for the next exit and is not subject to change.
  • Phonograms should be recorded on a CD-R disk with high sound quality + flash drive. Each sound recording should be on a separate medium with the name of the work, the name of the ensemble or the surname of the performer, as well as the duration of the sound of the work. Standard technical equipment for the competition: 3 Dynamic microphones; 2 Condenser microphones, monitors; pianoforte; system for playing CD / mixer / speaker system; concert lighting; chairs. Additional equipment is ordered separately for extra. fee!
  • The Organizing Committee has the right to use and distribute (without payment of fees to participants and guests of the competition) audio and video recordings, printed and other kinds of products made during the festival events and its results
  • To participate in the competition program, support groups, viewers
  • Sponsors and sponsors can take part in organizing the festival. The terms of their participation in the organization of the competition are coordinated with the organizing committee in addition
  • Each participant has the right to advertise his sponsor
  • Video shooting of the selection round by participants and their accompanying persons for personal use is not allowed!
  • Professional photo and video shooting is possible only upon agreement with the organizing committee!
  • Contest fees do not include any insurance. The Organizing Committee of the festival does not bear responsibility for possible accidents, thefts during the festival events in the halls or outside of them.
  • Participation in the Competition-Festival implies the unconditional consent of the participants to all points of this provision.

ATTENTION! Failure to comply with the terms of this Regulation entails the exclusion from participation in the festival. The organizers reserve the right to make changes and additions to the conditions and program of the organization and holding of the festival.

TERMS OF PARTICIPATION: To participate in the festival, the following documents should be submitted to the committee by e-mail at festival@praha-cz.net and info@forum-art.com.

Application:  form for the participant of the established sample only in Word format (Partially completed questionnaires- applications are not considered and the competition is not allowed) until 15/09/2018!

The number of participants in the creative team is unlimited, but the minimum number of participants is 20 +1 leader!

A participant or a collective has the right to participate in several nominations, subject to the provision of a separate application form for each nomination

Additional nomination is paid separately – 20 eur / for each participant in the nomination *

The sent materials can not be returned.

The organization delegating the participants of the festival pays before placing the group in the hotel the cost of moving the festival program (accommodation, meals, excursions, entrance tickets).

All additional excursions and services of the collective are ordered only through the organizers of the festival at pre-agreed prices.

In the case of a tour of the self-initiated excursion – the cruise company reserves the right to fine 12 eur / per day for each member of the group


Participation in the Festival is confirmed by an invitation after making a registration fee for the team:

  •     number of participants 20 +1 leader – 2900, – EUR
  •     number of participants 30 + 1,5 managers – 3900, -EUR
  •     number of participants 40 + 2 leader – 4900, -EUR
  •     number of participants 50 +2 leader – 5900, -EUR
  •     number of participants 60 +3 head – 6900, -EUR

The payment of the registration fee guarantees the preliminary reservation of the cabins and the calculation of the costings for the group.

The registration fee is taken into account in the total payment for the group.

If the booking is canceled, the fee is not refundable! *

Organization or individuals are obliged to insure participants for the duration of their stay abroad (organizers of the festival can contribute to the provision of medical insurance).

All participants need to provide lists of collectives for entering data into the cruise company’s system when paying the registration fee! All lists in printed form and e-mail in Word Document. Errors are not allowed. Please consider the distribution of participants in the cabins in the list.

  • 35 EUR/ per participant in the group from 60 person + 3 teachers for free
  • 40 EUR/ per participant in the group from 50 person + 2 teachers for free
  • 45 EUR/ per participant in the group from 40 person + 2 teachers for free
  • 50 EUR / per participant in the group from 30 person + 1,5 teachers for free
  • 55 EUR / per participant in the group from 20 person + 1 teachers for free
  • Additional payment 200 EUR/ for the soloist participants in 1 competition category
  • Additional payment 150 EUR /for the duet participants /1 competition category
  • Additional payment 150 EUR /for trio or quartet participants /1 competitive category
  • Additional payment in the second or third competitive nomination 20 EUR/per participant

 


Free festival places:

  • With a team of more than 20 people, one free seat is provided (20 +1 * in the inner cabin)!
  • With a staff of more than 30 people + 1 leader – for free, the second leader has a 50% discount (30 + 1.5 * in the inner cabin)!
  • With a team of more than 40 people, 2 free places are provided (40 + 2 * in the inner cabin)!
  • With a team of more than 50 people, 2 free places are provided (40 + 2 * in the inner cabin)!
  • With the staff of more than 60 people, 3 free places are provided (40 + 3 in the inner cabin)!

  • Tipping / Service Fee – On a cruise on a liner, you will always be served by a well-trained staff. So that you do not have unnecessary trouble, MSC Cruises automatically includes in your account a daily service charge for accommodation. Its size depends on the route chosen by you and the number of days of actual provision of services. Special meals: you can order a special diet, but on condition that the request is made in advance (at the time of booking). Gluten-free products are offered: snacks, biscuits, croissants, biscuits and dough products. Kosher menu is available on request no later than 2 months before the cruise.

Balance 75 days prior to sailing

Because all cruise lines require our final payment 75 days prior to sailing, World of Youth festival, cannot grant any school an extension on this payment and cannot accept responsibility for any activity, or cruise reservation cancelled due to nonpayment or late payment by your group.

All payments/prices are listed in Europe Union Currency.

Cancellation Policy

Please carefully review the following cancellation policies below. This contains very important information and the cruise lines adhere, strictly to their policies with no exceptions. World of Youth festival does not have control and cannot grant flexibility regarding these policies and is obligated to enforce each one. As the group director or trip coordinator, we believe it is very important for you to make all your participants aware that the penalties listed below will be imposed if they should cancel after the established dates.


Final payment to the cruise line from our office must be made 75 days prior to sailing date. If you miss this

deadline, your group’s trip may become jeopardized.

  • Cancellations received 200 -119 days prior to departure will be charged Non-Refundable Festival Application Fee
  • Cancellations received 120-95 days prior to departure will be charged a 30 % cancellation penalty per person.
  • Cancellations received 94- 84 days prior to departure will be charged a 50 % cancellation penalty per person.
  • Cancellations received 85-75 days prior to departure will be charged a 60% cancellation penalty per person.
  • Cancellations received 74-55 days prior to departure will be charged a 90% cancellation penalty per person.
  • Cancellations received from 55 -1 days prior to departure will be charged a 100 % cancellation penalty per person.

In addition, any non-refundable deposits made to bus companies,special attractions, etc. will not be refunded.

rooming list must remain in the cabin or full cancellation penalties for that cabin will apply**

** One guest canceling from a shared cabin will result in that cabin being re-priced based on the new or remaining occupancy. This will result in a ‘per person’ price increase for the remaining guests. Additionally, in the event the guest canceling is acting as chaperone or adult in a stateroom. Cancelation may result in remaining guest not being in compliance with cruise company’s minor policy.
