The international festival of competition of instrumental groups and orchestras is a unique and exclusive competition – the festival of Europe.
“Metamorphosis of Castles” invites children, youth and adult instrumental groups from around the world to take part. It is possible to participate in the competition or only in gala concerts. The highlight of the festival is the possibility of SOLO and FRIENDLY CONCERT.
This competition is aimed at shaping youth and children’s musical culture at the international level.
The competition is held in the concert hall České Budějovice.
You have the opportunity to order workshops with overseas conductors.
The award-winning gala concert takes place on the largest square of the Middle Ages – place Przemysl Otakar in Czech Budejovice, which is a UNESCO monument and ceremonial halls of castles of the South of the Czech Republic and concert halls.
The natural acoustics of the area surrounded by an ensemble of houses – decorations of the 16th century give a special, unique atmosphere.
The square is always crowded, the audience hears and sees the participants, both in front of the stage, and in the many coffee shops that are located around the perimeter of the square in the ancient arches.
Of great interest is the master class, which takes place in the unique theater of the 13th century castle of Cesky Krumlov with the only rotating hall in Europe.
Participants of the festival can choose to participate in one of these countries or enjoy a performance in 2 countries.
The competition is being held under the protection of: UNESCO, the South – Czech region, the city hall of the city of Ceske Budejovice, the Mayor’s office of the resort of Trebon, the Mayor’s office of Prague
All groups receive diplomas with the sign of UNESCO, valuable gifts from Bohemian glass with a golden angel – the symbol of the festival.

The teams have the opportunity to apply for general performances with other groups, ensembles from different countries. Please prepare a program for about 15 minutes, which must be pre-approved by the artistic committee.
The teams that have won in their category have the opportunity to take part in the struggle for the main prize. The jury reserves the right to also invite other teams for this competition. The winners will receive grants from the International Youth Forum – to participate in grant festivals 2022/2023 “World of Youth” on Costa cruise ships or MSC or the festival in Disneyland:
Program: two numbers for free choice, which were not presented in the competition program. The numbers must be approved in advance by the art committee.
Duration: maximum 5 minutes.
The team orders additional workshops at their discretion for an extra charge.
We offer you one of the best professionals in our region:
Yarmila Gadrabova – during her creative career she collaborated with various musical groups: the orchestra Puellarum Pragensis, Musica Bohemica, the Prague Royal Orchestra. With the Dvorak Symphony Orchestra in 2001–2008, she played opera performances at the summer festival in Bad Gersfeld and baroque music concerts. She successfully taught at music schools in Bystritsa near Hostinam, Hlomm nad Zidlina and Prague Gostevarya, and also developed special methods for adults. In 2018, Yarmila Gadrabova accepted an offer to teach at the International Conservatory in Prague.
Adolf Melihar – acted as a correspondent for the Karlin Musical Theater and choirmaster of the State Opera. She currently works as a choirmaster and assistant conductor at the Prague State Opera. The artistic director of the Prague-Břevnova church building often collaborates with the Prague Chamber Choir, especially in the study of classical operas.
Damir Basyrov – graduated with honors from the Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory. In 2006 he was awarded the state medal for his outstanding contribution to the culture of the Russian Federation. Laureate of international vocal competitions: Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic), Riga (Latvia), Caltanisetta (Italy).
David Lukash – musician, composer, conductor. The leader of the chamber orchestra is Talic. In 2011 he became the conductor of the Litomyšl Symphony Orchestra. In 2015, he worked with the Czech Symphony Orchestra in Prague.

The festival organizers can prepare an invitation for the time of the event and assure your list of participants only after you fulfill the following conditions:
Please send the list only once and try not to make any further changes in it, because this may delay visa processing. As a reserve, we recommend adding 3-4 participants to the list in case someone from the participants of the main list refuses to travel.
Once you fulfill all the conditions, we will send you an invitation along with a certified list of participants by e-mail, if necessary, send the original documents – by air mail directly to the name of your representative. He must personally apply to the embassy.
Please note that if you fulfill these conditions too late, we will have to send the original invitation by express mail, which would entail additional costs (approximately 100 – 300 euros).

Dear friends, since visa processing usually lasts a long time, we ask you to do this as early as possible. After all, it is in your interest! In case of late submission of documents for registration, you risk getting a visa refusal!

Participants in certain countries may need an invitation as well as a certified list of participants for obtaining visas. The International Youth Forum (IYF) can provide you with these documents.

The gala concert with the award takes place on the largest square of the Middle Ages – put Przemysl Otakar in Ceske Budejovice, which is a UNESCO monument and on the square of the city of Třebo – – a UNESCO monument.
Performances in Rimini (Italy) take place in the evening when the temperature drops in the old castle of Castel Sismondo in the center of the resort or in open areas on the waterfront.
Lipno Lake – a stunning resort on the shores of the largest lake in the Czech Republic – Lipno. All sorts of infrastructure: a lot of restaurants for every taste, a boat ride on the lake, a two hundred meter observation tower, from which you get fabulous photos, a cable car, a summer bobsleigh track, various bicycles, electric kettles, segways, etc.
Cesky Krumlov (or Cesky Krumlov) in the Czech Republic is one of the most attractive tourist cities. It is interesting for its majestic castle complex, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, practically unchanged by buildings from the 13th – 17th centuries, numerous museums and fun festivals. But, most importantly, this small town attracts the old, romantic, almost fabulous atmosphere that prevails here, the opportunity to travel back a few centuries and feel like a resident of the Middle Ages.
Hluboká nad Vltavou. One of the most visited castles of the Czech Republic (300 thousand tourists a year), was founded in the XIII century. The first name of this gothic fortress is Frauenberg, from 1661 the castle belongs to the Schwarzenberg family, elements of the coat of arms of this famous family can be seen everywhere.
The capital of the Czech Republic Prague – one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Prague is located on the banks of the Vltava River. Its unique medieval appearance, unique museums, diverse opportunities for recreation, entertainment and shopping, excellent cuisine, a developed system of urban transport and hotels for every taste attract several million tourists every year! At every step they are met by architectural masterpieces, breathtaking panoramic views, cozy narrow streets lined with stone, gardens and parks. This is the whole of Prague!
Salzburg in Austria, surrounded by the fabulous scenery of the Alps, is a city-music. The great Mozart was born here, and international music festivals are held, the famous Hollywood film “Sounds of Music” was filmed here, and magic classic melodies are played not only in concert halls, but also in local cafes and houses, and the magnificent architecture of Salzburg appears frozen in music.
Vienna in Austria is larger than its capital and even federal state. Vienna is a special atmosphere filled with spirituality and music. You can characterize it with phrases that are inextricably linked with Vienna: the Vienna Opera and the Vienna Waltz, the Vienna Woods and the Vienna Ball, Viennese coffee or Viennese cake. Vienna is gorgeous in everything from architecture, parks and music to elegant cafes and shops.
Venice in Italy, the administrative center of the Veneto region, is one of the most unusual, charming and romantic cities on the planet. The water channels here serve as roads and streets, on which boats and gondolas float instead of cars. In everything the atmosphere of a holiday and a celebration is felt. Thousands of tourists, delightful palaces, reminiscent of theatrical scenery, narrow streets with a long history, carnival and film festival here, make Venice a special place, one of the most attractive in the world.
Rimini in Italy is the center of attraction for tourists. It is the largest city on the Adriatic coast in the Emilia-Romagna region and the country’s most popular resort. There is all the best for recreation and entertainment – 15 kilometers of the purest sandy beaches, where life is full of day and night, discos, restaurants, shopping and affordable prices – this is just a small list of what the city meets travelers today. A good location allows easy access to the most famous cities of Italy. From here excursions to Bologna, Florence and Venice, as well as to Rome, are held.
Verona in Italy is undoubtedly a city of love and romance, glorified by Shakespeare in his legendary “sad tale” about the tragic love of Romeo and Juliet. This charming old town is situated on the banks of the Adige River near Lake Garda. Verona surprisingly combines the spirit of the Middle Ages and modernity, fascinates with its beauty and originality, because its color is collected from completely different eras of the city. Here you can see ancient Roman monuments of architecture, medieval Romanesque and Gothic churches, and magnificent Renaissance palaces. In 2000, Verona was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Florence is one of the oldest cities in Italy, located in a picturesque valley on the banks of the Arno River. Its territory covers an area of about 100 square meters. km, where more than 360 thousand people live. Today it is the capital of the Tuscany region, its most populous city and the most important tourist center, which is visited annually by more than 20 million guests.
Mirabilandia – one of the largest amusement parks in Europe, Mirabilandia, covers an area of 850,000 square meters. meters between the city of Ravenna and the popular resort of Rimini on the Adriatic coast. Splendid gardens, which surround three picturesque lakes, stretch around the park and directly on its territory.
To date, the park has more than 40 super-modern rides, 7 thematic regions. In addition, stunt shows, fireworks, laser shows and theater performances on ice and other live performances are constantly held.
Gardaland – Located on the southern shores of Lake Garda, the theme park Gardaland is a kind of Italian Disneyland. In the vast territory of more than 500 thousand square meters there are more than 40 ultramodern attractions for adults and children. In addition, the infrastructure of the park is represented by its own cafes and restaurants, as well as more than two dozen different shops.
